David Pearce is Professor of Economics at University College London and main author of five previous Blueprint titles and numerous other books. He was for several years the chief environmental adviser to the UK Government. Anil Markandya is a Professor in Economics at the University of Bath, England. She has published many books in the field of ecological economics. Edward B. Barbier is Reader in Environmental Economics at the University of York.
