History and Art: These copper bells have been originated from Sindh by the Muslim blacksmiths (Lohar) communities as their old tradition. These bells used to were hung in the cows` neck to identify the cattle and also at the main home door to know who is at the door.
Now- a-days they are used as wind chimes and show pieces at the windows due to their soothing and enchanting sound. These bells are made of mixed metals such as iron, brass and copper and mostly done with the metals scarp sheets. Copper powder is sprinkled on these bells before firing to give it a reddish color and hence the name copper bell.
